Weekly Update: 8th November 2024

Highlights:

• We have cold fronts crossing the southeast, but they won't have much impact over the weekend away from southwest TAS
• An active trough over southeast QLD and northeast NSW is fed by a huge amount of tropical moisture coming in from the northwest. This will be very active at times over the next week with falls of 50-100mm likely (see the rain map for daily and weekly projections)
• That pushes activity into the southwest today, before the next lengthy dry break. Temperatures increase later next week, ahead of the next weather system
