The southwest of the country gets the rain focus for the rest of April.
High pressure continues to block rain systems from moving into the southeast.

We have plenty of moisture to play with, and the Indian Ocean may enhance that moisture further as the season progresses.
The question is - the thing that we don't know - is will the weather systems be able to target the areas that need it most.

In this series I'll take you through the drivers of our weather, highlighting any changes over time and things to watch out for (generally every Friday). It covers weather elements like temperature and rainfall, and how they are driven by moisture from the Pacific and Indian Oceans, as well as bursts of energy from low pressure (SAM and MJO).
