Weekly Weather Outlook

Last week brought a true taste of winter across much of southern Australia, with chilly temperatures, widespread fog, and extensive frost creating classic mid-season conditions.Looking ahead, the start of the week will remain active across southeastern Australia. Strong winds and light to moderate rainfall are expected as several cold fronts move through the region. These systems will gradually clear, allowing calmer, more stable weather to settle in from Wednesday onward. From Thursday, two separate weather systems will bring rainfall to opposite sides of the country. In the southwest, another cold front will deliver showers and rain from Thursday through Saturday. Meanwhile, along the northern New South Wales coast, a mid-level system drawing in warm Pacific moisture is expected to produce moderate to locally heavy rainfall from Thursday through Sunday.Elsewhere, the remainder of Australia is forecast to stay largely calm and dry through the rest of the week.Stay safe!
