Tropical Cyclone Dianne was short lived, crossing the northwest WA coast early on Saturday, but the rainfall remains will have an impact on northern Australia prompting the next wave of rain to move through.

This is after last week's huge rainfalls, and it is falling on already saturated ground, with flood warnings covering a large part of the area:

After this system moves through the focus moves to the southeast of the country.
We will have a cold outbreak move through on Thursday, followed by another on Saturday and potentially another next Monday. This is as cold fronts cross the area bringing air from the Southern Ocean.
While it won't lead to a huge amount of rain, there will be a chill in the air, wintry hail in the showers, and snow on the alps.
