Weekly Weather Outlook

Before last week's extreme weather fades from memory, it's worth noting just how remarkable it was. Parts of Victoria's alpine regions recorded more than 300 millimetres of rainfall, accompanied by snow and damaging winds. Fortunately, this week brings a much calmer weather pattern.A high-pressure system is expected to remain over southeastern Australia throughout the working week, delivering cold, calm, and stable conditions across much of the region. While the settled weather will be welcome, it also brings an elevated risk of frost across Victoria, Tasmania, and parts of South Australia and New South Wales.Elsewhere, light showers are expected along the east coast of New South Wales and the southwest coast of Western Australia. A weak trough moving through Western Australia and the Northern Territory will also produce isolated light showers across inland areas. Outside of these regions, winds are expected to remain generally light, with stable conditions prevailing across most of the country.A low pressure system moves across the south from Thursday in WA, to arrive in the southeast for the weekend, bringing showers and moderate to strong wind gusts across SA, VIC & TAS.Wishing you a great week ahead, and thank you for reading. We'll see you next time!
