Weekly Weather Outlook
A cut-off low that has developed over the Indian Ocean is delivering some high single-day rainfall totals across much of southern Australia. It brought thunderstorms to parts of Western Australia over the weekend before moving into South Australia on Monday, then across the southeast on Tuesday.
As it moves through northern Victoria, there is the potential for renewed flood risk, particularly where catchments are already wet. By Wednesday, the system will be mostly clearing, although it will still bring some coastal rainfall to the east coast.At the same time, another low-pressure system and front will move through Western Australia, potentially producing another round of high rainfall totals.
This cut-off low is also associated with strong winds, heavy daily rainfall and thunderstorms, so please take care as this system moves across the country.
