Weekly Weather Outlook

It’s hot across much of Australia this week, with temperatures feeling more like the start of summer than the middle of October. This is particularly noticeable across the southeast, where a stationary high-pressure system over the Tasman Sea is driving warm northerly flows.

These conditions are providing generally favourable harvest weather across southern WA and southeastern Australia at the start of the week. While isolated showers and rain are possible, including on Tuesday, a more significant rain event could develop towards the end of the week. However, confidence in the forecast remains low, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the latest updates.

Further north, storm activity is expected across northern NSW, Queensland and the Top End, with the potential for large hail, heavy rainfall, thunder and lightning. Take care if you’re working outdoors or around storms this week.

Stay safe and have a great week!
