Our Snow Forecast page is coming soon

Jane's commentary will return for the 2022 season. We've made some improvements ahead of the season, with a few more tweaks to come soon.

We have completed a few snow related updates at Jane's Weather, but there is still a bit more to do before the snow season begins. These will be soon be summarised into a snow forecast page with each mountains projected snow for the next 3 and 7 days, along with my commentary.

Elevations have been fixed for these locations. Now when you enter that mountain (or the variation on its name [ie Hotham/Hotham Heights or Mt Baw Baw/Baw Baw Alpine Resort]) into search it will show temperatures and snow for the following elevations:

Mt Buller 1700m

Hotham 1850m

Falls Creek 1750m

Baw Baw 1550m

Mt Stirling 1700m

Lake Mountain 1400m

Dinner Plain 1550m

Mt Dandenong 600m

Mt Tassie 700m

Mt William 1153m

Mt Donna Buang 1253m

Macedon Ranges 1000m (Mt Macedon [town] 620m)

Mt Bogong 1986m

Reedy Creek Cobungra [Hotham Airport] 1300m

Thredbo 1850m

Perisher 1800m

Charlotte 1850m

Jindabyne 900m

Canberra 550m

Mt Kosciuszko 2228m

Ben Lomond 1500m

Mt Wellington 1250m

Mt Mawson (will be fixed later today) 1250m

(Buller and Falls work if you search but not if you save [it's a lat long problem] - will be fixed later today)

Wind still needs improving, as do temperature inversions. Icons will be sorted early tomorrow - for some reason "severe frost" temperatures trump all other icons. I missed it in the test over summer as nowhere was cold enough...

Any other locations you want added, please let me know.
